Who we are

This website belongs to Harborlight Multi-Purpose Cooperative, a cooperative registered with the Cooperative Development Authority under Republic Act 9520, with its principal office at 2/F Harborlight Center, 18 Lantern Street, Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City 6000. Membership, savings and loans are governed by our articles of cooperation, by-laws and board policies, which every member receives at the seminar; where this site and those documents differ, the documents govern.

Rates and the calculator

Rates, minimums and seminar dates shown here come from the cooperative’s own system and may change by board resolution. The loan calculator gives an estimate only: the credit officer issues the exact amortization schedule, with every deduction, before you sign, and only an approved and released loan binds either side.

Applications

Sending a membership application books your seminar and files your application; it does not make you a member. Admission is decided by the board of directors after you attend the seminar and pay your first share capital. Please give true details: a false statement is a ground for refusal or later expulsion under the by-laws.

Dividends

Past interest on share capital and patronage refund rates are shown as history, not a promise. Each year’s rates depend on that year’s net surplus and are approved by the general assembly.

The member portal

The portal is for members only. Sign-in codes go to the e-mail on file; do not share them. Balances in the portal are those of posted transactions; your official receipts and the cooperative’s books are the record. A loan application sent from the portal is reviewed exactly like one filed at the window.

Using this site

Please do not send automated requests, try to reach another member’s account, or copy the site’s photographs. We may block a connection that does. The site is provided as it is; we work to keep it accurate and available, but an outage does not change what you owe or are owed.

Your details

How we handle what you send us is set out in the privacy notice. These terms are governed by Philippine law; disputes between a member and the cooperative go first to the mediation and conciliation committee, as RA 9520 provides.
